Launch of Old Shire of Phillip Island Rate Books Indexing Program
Last updated on 13 August 2018
The Shire of Phillip Island and Woolamai Rate Books Indexing Program is to be launched on Monday 13th of August 2018.
As part of Family History Month and the 150th celebrations of Phillip Island our society will be launching the Rate Books Indexing Program that can be used to research property ratepayers, owners, property details, digitised from the old Shire of Phillip Island and Woolamai Rate Books. With the help of grant money received from the Bass Coast Shire Council and the Australian Government Department of Social Security, our society has been able to have a computer application written to enable the data from the old rate books, to be searched by property or personal name and the search details displayed, with links to the scanned images.
The Society's research rooms will be open all week from 13th August to 18th August during Family History Month with free access to research records
