Researching through TROVE - latest developments and searching techniques.

TROVE is a free search service developed by the National Library to assist in locating resources relating to Australia, with an emphasis on online and digitised material such as newspapers, periodicals, records, and images.

Lucy is the Phillip Island Library Manager and has a wealth of knowledge on the wide range of online resources available for family history research, including TROVE. She spoke on TROVE in 2014 and is back by specific request.

The talk will include an overview and:

  •   New features including searching Government Gazettes;

  •   Advanced searching;

  •   Organising your TROVE research;

  •   Citations and references of TROVE material; and

  •   Government cutbacks and the potential impact on TROVE.
